Greetings, Backers! You've done it. Obsession has finished with $36,632 raised, which is 244% of its funding goal. Four stretch goals have been completed, and there are rumors of a few more last minute surprises that will end up in the game box come next summer.

Update on Shipping and belated $30,000 Stretch Goal Unlocked!

Greetings! I apologize, the update below for the Garden Maze was left by yours truly sitting in preview mode since we hit our $30,000 goal yesterday.

But it does give the opportunity to clarify one thing regarding Flat Rate Shipping: Shipping will be handled in the Pledge Manager after the campaign (BackerKit) and not during the campaign. I have seen maybe 1/2 dozen folks increase their pledge by the amount of the shipping, but that will only count as a donation to the project (actually, we can work out an one-off shipping adjustment if any get through that way). Just wanted to advise anyone who has done this to adjust their pledge back down or contact me if you learn of this issue after the campaign. Thank you!

Monuments are critical in the game of Obsession, and the Garden Maze permits players a greater variety of Monument combinations. It also offers an alternative to the Sculpture Garden, which—for reasons developed thematically in the glossary—is a very powerful tile that can turn a game by itself. Experienced players may prefer a game without such a game-changing tile.

Flat Fee Shipping Announcement!

Greetings!

Obsession is at 177% of its funding level with 48 hours to go! I owe a debt of gratitude for all those who’ve worked with the campaign to elevate the graphic design, which has been updated on the Kickstarter page. One way I thought to express my gratitude is to remove the uncertainty of shipping from this campaign. Sort of an impromptu stretch goal to say thanks for making Obsession possible!

Kayenta Games is therefore announcing Flat Fees for 95% of the current pledged geographies (see below) at the low end of the estimates previously provided. If you are outside the stated flat fee geographies, please contact me directly for a firm quote (meaning that your geography will be checked against 2017 shipping tables and a fixed shipping cost will be given that will not change in 2018).

The flat fees referenced below are for shipping any of the reward levels (Pax Britannica, Queen Victoria, Anthony Trollope, and Jane Austen), as reward levels featuring two games/expansions have fixed shipping as part of the reward.

• Canada: $15 Flat Fee

How apropos that an Englishman should lift the campaign to its second second stretch goal! And what could be more exciting than a Barn? I know you’re imagining grand balls, formal dinners, and receiving dignitaries in the drawing room, but this gardener will earn his keep!

Anticipating this goal, I made the large service tile on the main page the very barn that is now part of the game. Visit your new outbuilding.

On to stretch goal #3, a place where your gardener will show his skills: the Garden Maze Monument!
